Maria Hines’ Golden Beetle Now Serves Lunch

Maria Hines’ tribute to Eastern Mediterranean cuisine is now available for lunch! Golden Beetle will be serving up some of its favorites and new items just for lunchtime. Sandwiches include Herbed Falafeland Pork and Lamb Gyro; Salad’s include Salmon Cake Salad and Fire & Honey Chicken Salad; Entrees include Lentil and Ditaloni Pasta and Lamb and Chickpea Stew. Pita chips with dip, Sauteed Kale and more will be offered as small plate sides. Located in Ballard, Golden Beetle will serve lunch to residents, businesses and visitors to Ballard during the weekday.

Another of Maria’s restaurant, Agrodolce, is celebrating its first year anniversary with a spaghetti dinner on Dec. 21. She opened her Sicilian and Southern Italian trattoria last year on the Mayan predicted end of the world. House-milled flour is used in the pastas and the foccacia is also house made.
