BACON & BEER CLASSIC TAKES OVER THE HOME OF THE MARINERS
An event unlike any other, Cannonball Productions is bringing the Bacon and Beer Classic to America! The Bacon and Beer Classic is a one-of-a-kind event hosted inside major league baseball stadiums across the country. It is a premier experience focused on traditions, where one’s nostalgia of baseball meets their love for bacon and craft beer!
As thousands of attendees walk through the stadium they will get a taste of history through the hundreds of craft brew samples and mouth-watering bacon-inspired tastes local restaurants cook up. Live music will get people dancing, interactive games will bring out their inner kid, and the cooking demos and beer schools will teach everyone – from the expert to the novice – a thing or two about bacon and beer.
Cannonball Productions selected Seattle as the first city to host this inaugural event series, on May 17th at Safeco Field. When asked why Seattle was chosen as the kick-off point, Kate Levenstien, President (and founder of Bacon and Beer Classic), Cannonball Productions stated “We’re not interested in just giving our guests a run of the mill experience. The Bacon and Beer Classic brings together THE BEST in local food, brews, and entertainment. Our event is not only about the experience, but it’s about the quality. Seattle certainly knows its beer and Seattle knows its food. Couple that with it having some of the most die-hard sports fans in the country- and well, it just makes sense. We’re thrilled to be kicking off at Safeco Field on May 17th!”
The participating vendor line up is a good one and growing by the day. Currently over 80 local restaurants and breweries have signed on to participate in the event. Each brewery will serve at least two of its most coveted brews. The restaurant chefs have been given the challenge of serving their most delectable bacon inspired dish. Be prepared to not only taste some bacon classics, but bacon used in a variety of different ways you’ve never seen (or tasted) before!
How will everyone know which brew and bacon dish was best? Guests will be able to download an interactive mobile application that not only lets them vote for their favorites, but also provides a full set of useful and interactive features to use while at the event. After both sessions, Cannonball Productions will tabulate the votes, and award one restaurant and one brewery the title of best in show.
In addition to the bacon and brew experience, the event has enlisted a number of the most popular bands the Seattle area has to offer. Bands will play next to the stadium dugouts. Guests can choose to take a break from the sips and tastes and immerse themselves in the concert element of the experience. Also, along the promenade, guests can interact with a number of games and activities. These include but are not limited to; cooking and brew schools, Cornhole tournaments, giant beer pong, Frisbee games, and large-scale jenga… just to name a few!
This popular event will be drawing in attendees from all over Seattle and the Northwest region. Attendees can choose from two event sessions, or plan to attend both! Attendees will need a ticket for each session they attend. The first session will be held from 12pm-4pm, and the second from 6pm-10pm. The Bacon and Beer Classic is and will always be an all-inclusive event. General Admission tickets are $59, and they are going fast!
Each guest will receive a souvenir Bacon and Beer Classic cup. Guests can also choose to purchase a VIP experience ticket that will give them access to a variety of exclusive privileges. These include but are not limited to; VIP lounge, exclusive brews and bacon tastes, a guided tour of the stadium, and special experiences.
While this is a national event series, Cannonball Productions works extremely hard to make it a local experience, working and partnering with local businesses and groups to bring together the best the area has to offer. They have partnered with the charity One Brick, in order to share the experience and bring together volunteers in the Seattle area. Cannonball Productions has also pledged to donate a portion of the proceeds from the May 17th event to the ongoing Oso mudslide relief efforts.
