For those looking to up their pizza eating game, Steveston Pizza offers some of the most expensive pies in the world, that’s right, the WORLD!
Owner Nader Hatami is either the craziest guy on the planet or an absolute genius. Pies range from $14 all the way to a whopping $725 for one pie. That’s right, $725. The “Best of Seas” pizza (C7) includes a medley of tiger prawns, lobster, ratatouille, smoked steelhead, Russian Osetra caviar, snowed with italian white truffles. Unfortunately, we didn’t bring enough funds to splurge on $75/slice, but we did have enough for the following:
Black: Honey glazed chicken breast, fig, gorgonzola and marscarpone mousse, walnuts and arugula julienne
Mist: Smoked salmon, crab, scallions and truffle infused tomatoes
If the weather is nice, take your pies to-go and sit by the water or on a number of outdoor picnic benches along Steveston Village. You’ll see people riding bikes, throwing a football and even a wedding if you’re lucky. The walking trails are great for an after meal stroll.
If this is your first time visiting Steveston, make sure to check out Steveston Fishermen’s Wharf where you’ll find over 600 fishing boats––Canada’s largest fleet. You can find locals selling fresh fish and uni out on the docks on a daily basis. It’s a safe and extremely walkable area full with great food, people and things to do.
