Jack’s BBQ and A la Mode Pie Announce Collaboration

Seattle’s Best Pitmaster and Pie Maker Join Forces to Create the Best Savory Pie Money Can Buy

A Match Made in Culinary Heaven

SEATTLE – Two Seattle culinary forces, Jack Timmons of Jack’s BBQ and Chris Porter of A la Mode Pie, have teamed up to create three new savory pies that pair Jack’s succulent smoked meats with Chris’ delicate flakey crusts. A la Mode Pies will unveil the new creations during the grand opening of their second location on Monday, Oct. 3, in West Seattle.

In addition to his popular sweet and savory pies, Porter’s new menu will include Smoked Beef Brisket with Potato Pie, BBQ Pulled Pork Pie, and Chicken Pot Pie — each created with Jack’s signature BBQ meats that are wood-smoked for up to 16 hours in the massive offset steel smokers at Jack’s popular barbecue joint in SoDo.

“The collaboration represents a perfect marriage between two restaurants at the top of their game,” Timmons stated. “I love everything A la Mode Pies makes and I can’t think of a better way for two of the best specialty restaurants in our town to make delicious food together. I’m super excited to be working with Chris on this.”

Jack’s will also be sharing the love by adding A la Mode’s Toasted Coconut Cream Pie to its dessert menu in October.
