Washington Brewers Festival — Granddaddy of Them All

Washington Brewers Festival, June 16th – 18th

When 130 breweries across the state of Washington come together at Marymoor park and pour over 500 different beers. In my mind, this is the most exciting weekend of the year.  Food trucks, craft beer, live music and even a keg tossing competition. Indeed, this is the most beautiful thing a craft beer lovers’ eyes can see.

There are too many breweries to name them all here, and frankly, that would be silly when it’s readily available online – http://washingtonbeer.com/festivals/washington-brewers-festival.php – but as someone who has had almost every single one of these breweries, I will happily offer my guide to making the most of this glorious weekend.

At the end of the day, all these breweries are wonderful and offer a craft beer that you’ll love.  But when it comes down to it, people only have so many tokens and so many beers they can fit into them, so you can stick with the big boys, the constant winners of best beers at Washington Brewers Festival, or you can stay loyal to IPAs or you can try the little guys. Don’t be afraid to take a few laps around the yard during your first beer and strategize which beers sound the best to you, if there is anything you are dying to try, its never a bad idea to get it early. No matter what you decide, there is no wrong way to celebrate.
