Starbucks, KEXP and Friends of the Waterfront Seattle to Host Waterfront Concert Benefitting Local Unsheltered Families on Saturday, September 14
Concert will Feature Musical Guests Best Coast and The Courtneys, with all Ticket Sales Benefitting Mary’s Place and Wellspring Family Services
WHAT: On Saturday, September 14, in partnership with Mary’s Place and Wellspring Family Services, Starbucks, KEXP and Friends of the Waterfront will present SEAchanger, a waterfront concert to raise awareness and support for the hundreds of unsheltered families in King County.
The family-friendly benefit concert will feature musical guests Best Coast and The Courtneys, with 100% of all ticket sales benefitting responsible service providers like Mary’s Place and Wellspring Family Services to support unsheltered families in the region.
The concert will take place at 4 pm at Myrtle Edwards Park in Seattle. Tickets are available now at KEXP.org/seachanger for the price of $15/ticket, plus fees.
WHY: Just this year, the business community and non-profit sector have helped provide thousands of shelter nights and connected hundreds of families to permanent housing but there is still more work to do.
· With hundreds of families living on the streets in King Country, unsheltered families are a crisis that needs to be addressed
· That’s why this summer, in partnership with Mary’s Place and Wellspring, Starbucks has helped to create the SEAchanger benefit concert to support hundreds of families across King County
· Ticket sales from this event allows Starbucks to continue supporting the local communities and customers it serves by supporting responsible service providers like Mary’s Place and Wellspring
