HoneyHole is Expanding to Central District

HoneyHole Celebrates its 22nd Birthday and Opens a New Location as a Tasty Gift to Seattle

HoneyHole Sandwiches, home of the Best Sandwich in Seattle, is expanding for the first time in 22 years. The new restaurant, located at 1305 E. Jefferson St. in Seattle’s Central District neighborhood, will open its doors on Memorial Day, Monday May 31, and feature the same mouthwatering menu that HoneyHole’s legion of fans make part of their daily culinary journey. The original HoneyHole opened on Capitol Hill on Memorial Day,1999.

The newest location, which is nearly three times larger than the shop on Capitol Hill, features a full bar, large outdoor patio, private dining rooms, and all the funky, kitschy décor that makes it uniquely HoneyHole. Owner Kristin Rye has enlisted the creative help of former HoneyHole owners and feng shui ninjas, Sean London and Hannah Roberts, to ensure the vibe is as fascinating as it is fun. Expanding to a large, modern space allows HoneyHole to host private events and provide catering services. The new location is conveniently located near Seattle University, with easy access to Madison Park and I90.

“We’re amazed by the warm welcome we’ve had since taking ownership of the restaurant in January,” said Kristin Rye. “Our new location wouldn’t be possible were it not for our loyal customers who show us love each day, and my incredible team, who even under very challenging circumstances have kept the goodness coming day-after-day. The Central District was a natural next spot for us given its great location, vibrant community and rich history. Plus, it’s pretty awesome to be in the same neighborhood that Bruce Lee, Jimi Hendrix, Quincy Jones, and Sir Mix-a-Lot once called home.”

The new location is capable of seating nearly 100 indoor customers and 35 outdoor on the patio. The private dining rooms can host up to 25 people. Initial hours of operation will be Thursday through Sunday, 11:30am – 9:00pm.

“We’re super excited about the opportunities this larger location provides. We can host parties, pop-ups, community events and even live music, which were all a bit of a challenge at our Cap Hill location,” said Rye. HoneyHole is actively seeking awesome people to join their team.
