This Spring in the Historic Washington Street Boat Landing near The Washington State Ferry Terminal
Molly Moon’s Homemade Ice Cream is opening their newest scoop shop location this April on the south end of Seattle’s new 20-acre Waterfront Park that includes Overlook Walk linking the iconic Pike Place Market with the Seattle Aquarium, Pier 62, the Octopus themed playground on Pier 58, a beautifully restored Habitat Beach, and Elliott Bay.
Construction has begun at the Historic Washington Street Boat Landing Pergola. The transformation of this iconic site into a full-service Molly Moon’s location is scheduled to be completed by Friday, April 25th, pending any delays in construction or permitting.

The shop’s location is beautifully situated next to the brand-new Habitat Beach, which was designed to support the waterfront ecosystem and enhance the area’s salmon corridor. The Pergola is the perfect location for a new Molly Moon’s scoop shop.
When asked about opening a shop on Seattle’s Waterfront, Molly Moon Neitzel, CEO and Founder of Molly Moon’s Homemade Ice Cream, said:
“We’re incredibly excited to operate out of this historic Seattle location. It’s so beautiful and we feel confident that lots of happy moments are going to take place under the Pergola at the boat landing! Engagements at sunset. First time visitors to Seattle watching the ferries sail in and out. Local families walking down from Pike Place Market and taking in the sites. There are endless opportunities to make memories and we hope it includes a scoop of our ice cream to make it that much sweeter!”
Preserving the beauty of the historic façade is of the utmost importance to the Molly Moon’s team, so they’ve teamed up with the beloved architectural firm Graham Baba to ensure that the design of the shop retains and accentuates the Pergola’s original beauty.
